Mold Machine Maintenance Engineer

Position Details

Job Purpose
Responsible for the preventive and corrective maintenance of injection moulding machines, auxiliary equipment, and associated systems to ensure consistent, reliable production with minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance as per schedule on injection moulding machines such as Sumitomo, Nissei, Fanuc, Matsui, etc.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults in moulding machines.
- Handle breakdown maintenance quickly to reduce machine downtime.
- Maintain and service auxiliary equipment such as mould temperature controllers, chillers, dryers, and robots.
- Ensure machine alignment, platen parallelism, and clamping force settings are within standard.
- Calibrate and inspect servo motors, heaters, sensors, and hydraulic valves.
- Maintain maintenance checklists, logbooks, and downtime records.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities including Kaizen, TPM, 5S, and energy saving.
- Assist in installation and commissioning of new moulding machines.
Required Skills & Experience
- Diploma / Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics Engineering.
- 4–6 years of experience in injection moulding machine maintenance.
- Good understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical panels, and PLC systems.
- Hands-on experience with Sumitomo, Nissei, Fanuc, Matsui, Kanetsu or similar machines.
- Familiarity with TPM, OEE, and preventive maintenance practices.
Preferred Qualities
- Analytical and diagnostic skills for breakdown root cause analysis.
- Discipline in maintaining maintenance SOPs and safety standards.
- Team player with basic communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently in shifts.
